High school planning and mentoring

High School Planning and Mentoring
  • We work with students of 9th grade and up.
  • We first interview the student, review the student’s course work and grades, and look at the student’s extracurricular activities, passions, talents, etc., so as to have a deep understand of the student.
  • We then develop an individualized plan for the student, which includes curricular and extracurricular activities that best fit the student and appeals to the universities, such as research, competitions, leadership, volunteering, summer camps, fellowships, etc.
  • We have compiled extensive lists and resources for these activities. And, we support students in applying for and carrying out these activities. For example, we instruct students in writing application essays, and we review all essays before they are submitted.
  • We tailor our service to meet each student’s status and needs. We do NOT provide factory assembly line type of service as done by other counseling companies.
  • We meet with each student, face-to-face or virtually, every two to four weeks, to provide real time mentoring and support. Any ad-hoc meetings initiated by the students or their parents are welcome.
  • We build a long-term professional and yet personal relation with each student.
